Abandon	If you abandon something bad in your dream you could quite possibly receive some favorable financial news. But if someone abandons you, close to you in your dreams it may mean trouble, do not worry you can over come it by acknowledging the warning sign. If you dreamed you saw some sort of abandonment, it indicates you will hear some news or information that you will feel is very important to you. To dream that you yourself have been abandoned is a dream of contradiction and means you will have a reconciliation or a quick turn around from the trouble or problem.

Abandonment	You must consider this dream´s varying aspects in order to interpret it. Your unconscious may be giving you some messages regarding what needs to be kept and needs to be let go. Traditional dream interpretations say that if you are the one being abandoned in your dream, it is a dream of the contrary and you may experience reconciliation or recovery from trouble or illness. Please remember that the unconscious is attempting to compensate for an imbalance in the conscious. For example if you are overly attached to someone in daily life, in the dream state you may be abandoned by him/her. This is an attempt by the unconscious to make your aware of your dependency.

Abbey	Looking upon this type of structure clearly and in broad daylight, generally you can consider this a good omen. Being a very good sign you can expect peace of mind and substantial freedom from anxiety. If you see in Abbey in gloom or fog at night it indicates sadness, but it should only the temporary in nature.

Abdomen	Seeing your abdomen in a dream suggests the gestation or digestion of a new idea or phase of your life. If your abdomen is swollen, the birth of a new project may be imminent.

Abduction	A dream about being abducted strongly indicates success for you against most opposition whether business or social. If you witness someone being abducted in your dreams then you can expect to get some unexpected news.

Abhorrence	When you find something extremely distasteful in your dreams, it is a warning of danger or difficult times. These are usually of an unforeseen nature; but, if the feeling was not very strong and you were simply, slightly annoyed by this feeling present in your dream, then you will overcome your difficulties.

Abject	To experience dreams of being abject indicates coming financial changes, usually to the opposite. If the abjectnesss altered at some point within the dream then these affects will only be temporary. However if during your dream you respond friendly to in abject approach, it possibly means a substantial financial benefit is forthcoming.

Abnormal	To dream of things that are not normal, and I mean really "Not normal" like a bird with tentacles or a car that is half horse, then this means that very soon you will have a sound solution to your current problems that are weighing on your mind.

Abortion	To a man a dream containing abortion indicates failure in his kind endeavor. For a woman it is very clearly a health dream and may indicate her health is in some sort of danger.

Abroad	To go abroad by ship indicates that you may make a very powerful and influential new friend very shortly. Dreams of being abroad in foreign lands is clear indications that you may be experiencing unsettled conditions and look for a possible change of location.

Abscond	To the man this could indicate possible deceit from his co-workers. To a woman it means she should be very careful where she gives her affection.

Abstinence	Another contradictory dream which may seem the exact opposite. To dream that you practice abstinence from drinking or any other sort of sensual temptation can be and should be considered a warning against being over confidant. But to dream that you have to show abstinence out of necessity indicates that great rewards are on their way.

Abundance	To dream of having a great abundance of a certain thing is a clear warning to conserve your resources and energies. And dreaming of having a great abundance of a wide variety of things is a very good omen.

Abuse	If you dream you are abusing someone you are about to suffer repercussions from friends toward whom you have acted less than honorable. If you feel that you are abused, or if you are being verbally or physically abused, you will soon fall into the hands of an enemy. Being forewarned is being forearmed, and your dreams are advising you that you will be the sufferer unless you pay close attention to your dealings in the immediate future.

Abyss	An abyss can always be considered an obstacle. If you can manage to keep from falling into one in your dreams, though it may look like you will, you will overcome your current problem. However, falling into the abyss, is a stern warning that you should be very careful, as there may be danger present in your business dealings.

Academy	A dream that involves an Academy can indicate new friendships, and it warns that they may lead you to costly mis-speculation.

Accelerator	An accelerator or gas pedal or throttle on a boat and possibly even an airplane, can be an indication that you will achieve your objectives with little outside help other than your own efforts. However if the accelerator is jammed or broken and you lost control of it, it is a warning not to develop a habit which could turn into a most unwanted vice.

Accident	An accident dream would normally fall under the category of a warning from your subconscious mind telling you to steer clear of whatever was involved in the dream accident, no matter what it is. Many lives have been saved by heeding such a dream. If the dream involves a car then you should endeavor to walk as much as possible, but use extra caution when you are approached by a vehicle. Take a different flight at least two days later if an airplane, watch out for WHATEVER is involved. If the dream is about a sea accident and you do not plan to travel by ship or boat, then this is an omen having to do with love affairs. If the accident involves an archaic, outdated, mode of travel then it will pertain to business reversals.

Actor or Actress	Perhaps you are only seeing your own or someone elses persona, the side the person shows to the world. Seeing yourself as an actor in the spotlight suggests a desire for publicity or a more public life. Such a dream can also suggest that you are acting out a role or "putting on an act" for someone else.

Afternoon	Dreams that take place in the afternoon suggest clarity and lengthiness of duration. Are you with friends in the afternoon? Then positive and lasting associations may soon be formed.

Aging	Dreaming about old people or your own aging may have several different meanings. An old man may symbolize wisdom and forgiveness while an old woman may represent life and death. In general, aging may represent the wisdom that a person acquires through experience. The dream may also be giving you a message in regard to life´s lessons. This may be a good time for you to apply some of your experience and knowledge to a current situation. This dream may also be a reflection of your concerns about aging. If you are thinking about your mortality and do not welcome maturing and age, the dream may be bringing out some of your worries and/or vanities.

Airplane	You may be soaring to new heights in some facet of your life or taking a metaphorical journey into the unconscious. An airplane dream can also be a prelude to a flying dream or used as a launch pad to a lucid dream.

Airport	In a dream the sight of a busy airport represents the desire for freedom and/or travel as this is the jumping off point for all those who travel the world and it brings out your hidden desires to do the same. If the airport is empty and deserted your own travel plans will be changed or delayed.

Alcohol	Understanding the symbol of alcohol in your dreams depends on the relationship you have with it in daily life. If you drink regularly, you need to look at the other details of your dream more carefully. However, if you drink rarely or never, then this dream could represent a need for you to escape from your daily stress and your desire to get quick relief. The alcohol could be suggesting a need for healing and getting in balance. Your unconscious mind may be suggesting outrageous things in hopes that you get the message to "have fun, dream dreams, and get out of your own head!" Please keep in mind that the purpose of dreams is to raise our consciousness and to assist us in having better lives. The message in the dream about alcohol is most likely not encouraging you to drink but it may represent a need to feel better or get better.

Alien(s)	If you dream that you are an alien from outer space this will denote that your ideas are starting to get out of hand in regard to occult matters. It is your minds way to put the brakes on. If you dream you have been abducted by aliens this shows your fear of changing your surroundings or your deep seated fear of losing your home and family. To see aliens of any kind is bringing out your fears and must be correlated with the rest of the dream.

Alligator	This symbol may suggest that you are being thick-skinned or insensitive to someone else. It may also signify danger.

Almonds	To dream of eating fresh almonds with gusto and enjoyment foretells the coming of financial gain but if the almonds tend to be a little bitter then your gain will be accompanied by a short time of sorrow. To see a healthy almond tree foretells much happiness and wedded bliss while a blighted tree means just the opposite.

Ambulance	A dream of an ambulance is an omen that could be taken as a warning against carelessness and indiscretion leading to some major catastrophe in your life. In all cases it is concerning itself with your health, or the inner fear you may have of having contracted some kind of disease, and warrants a trip to the doctor to set your mind at ease.

Amethyst	In a dream the amethyst is a gem that signals good luck. In business it shows that you will have a modest income that you will be satisfied with, and in marriage, you will have a calm and happy married life. If you lose a piece of amethyst jewelry then you will see the reverse of these conditions.

Amputation	This is a frightening dream which may be due to anxiety and fear. It suggests feelings of frustration, anger, and powerlessness on the part of the dreamer. This dream may also be related to a radical removal of something from one´s life. Some believe that you are trying to get rid of something that is no longer desirable or necessary or that the limb or the part being amputated has lost its power. According to New Age thinking, the right side of the body is usually associated with the ability to give emotionally, psychologically and physically to yourself and others, while the left is linked with the ability to receive. Carl Jung said that the left side represents the unconscious while right indicates the conscious.

Amusement	Park Dreaming of an amusement park may suggest that you are in need of a vacation from your concerns over a troubling issue. To dream of riding a ride denotes an enjoyment of life and feelings of being uninhibited.

Anchor	An anchor grounds you--acts as your foundation. It also holds you in place, which can be either beneficial or detrimental.

Angels	Angels represent help from the higher self or from a guardian. The appearance of an angel may suggest a growing spiritual awareness.

Anger	This may be a carry-over from your daily life. In our dreams we can experience and express such feelings safely. Feeling great anger in your dream may be disturbing but pay attention to it and attempt to deal with all of your emotions in a more appropriate and productive manner.

Animals	Animals can relate to various sides of your "animal" nature, a guardian spirit, wisdom, innocence, predatory tendencies, or sexuality, depending on the perceived nature of the animal. An animal can also represent the physical body, or appear as a metaphor for an illness within the physical body.

Ant	Ants suggest restlessness (feeling "antsy"). They also signify small annoyances and irritations. Alternately, they may represent feelings of smallness or insignificance. Consider the number of ants in the dream. Is it a single ant? A colony? Or a huge, swollen anthill?

Anxiety	Experiencing much anxiety in your dream state may be related to your current difficulties and everyday life. Gaps may exist between the way things are and the way you would like them to be. Older interpretation books suggest that when you dream about anxiety, the contrary is true and that your worries will be lessened. However, always keep the compensatory nature of dreams in mind. If you are not feeling anxiety during the day, it could be that you are ignoring it and that it will appear in your dream. Therefore, look at the details of your dream and attempt to identify the anxiety-provoking situations in your daily life.

Apartment	A dream of an apartment is usually a simple dream and shows the dreamer the state of finances or other situation he or she may be involved in. A beautiful, lavish apartment indicates you will see a large increase in your income or your family life will improve. If the apartment is shabby and dark then you will experience misfortune and possible loss of a husband, lover, or money. Try to recall the other symbols that caught your eye in your dream apartment and you will come close to approximating it is meaning.

Apology	This dream always has something to say about our relationships, the relationship that we have with ourselves and/or with others. Apologies are associated with forgiveness and honesty. Thus, consider the details of your dream and consider whether an apology is necessary in order for you to move forward in a particular relationship or with an area of your personal life.

Apostle	An apostle dream is much like that of an angel dream but more men than women seem to have these. Usually when an apostle speaks to you in a dream it is a spiritual message for you and deserves the utmost attention you can give it. See Angel.

Apparition	An apparition can signify a message or warning. It can be seen as communication with the dead. Alternately, you might feel that another person in a relationship is like an apparition--someone who is there, but not truly present.

Apples	Apples stand for wholeness and for knowledge. Ripe apples on a tree may mean that your hope and hard work have borne fruit.

April	As April showers lead to May flowers, to dream of this month represents that much pleasure and fortune may be heading your way. If the weather is bad, it may suggest the passing of bad luck.

Aquarium	Water in all forms is a very meaningful symbol. It may represent emotions, the unconscious, sexuality, and, at times, life itself. Before interpreting this symbol first consider the other details in the dream and the overall quality of the dream experience. The aquarium could represent a portion of your life or a "slice of life." Aquariums are generally balanced and fully contained ecosystems. People enjoy aquariums because they find them soothing and relaxing. Thus, this dream´s message may be a call for contemplation and relaxation. It may represent life in a small setting as a compensation to the stress and, at times, overwhelming complexity of daily experiences.

Arch	Passing under an arch in a dream may symbolize a transition in your life, a move from one phase or stage to another. If you avoid walking under the arch, the indication is that you are resisting transition or change. Note the shape of the arch, whether it is adorned in any way, or whether other people are also using it. This will flesh out the symbol for you.

Arm	Arms allow you to manipulate things in your environment. The same might be true in a dream. Seeing an arm suggests that you can maneuver or manipulate things in your dream environment. If you flap your arms, it may indicate a desire to fly in your dream.

Armor	Armor could represent your defense mechanisms, those things that you use to protect yourself from self and/or others (e.g. denial and repression). Physical barriers may keep others away, as will your more negative behaviors and attitudes. On a more spiritual note, some believe that dreaming about armor may be a good sign which represents a shield of protection from difficulties and temptation.

Arrow	The interpretation of this dream symbol may vary depending if the arrow was a tool or a weapon, or a sign pointing direction. Dreaming about an actual arrow may have a range of meaning that includes swiftness, powerful and speedy intuition, mental alertness, precession, illuminating thoughts, and, last but not least, it could be a phallic symbol. To interpret the dream, consider its setting, context and emotional tone. Then, attempt to connect and apply the suggested symbolism to your current situation or state of mind.

Assassin	If you are the one to be struck down by an assassin then you will not experience the realization of your goals. To see someone else who has been killed, with the assassin still there, and blood spattered, shows some very bad luck to the dreamer, as he/she will be brought low by the underhandedness of an enemy.

Atlas	Dreaming of an atlas suggests that you are considering moving or taking a trip.

Attacked	First of all, anytime you dream of being attacked always exercise extreme caution for the next several weeks as this is first and foremost a warning dream. If the attacker in your dream is an animal, watch out for that type of an animal, but also notice how some people act like animals. If you dream that you have attacked someone, that is also a warning that your ill mood or temper fits may cause you to harm another and bring chaos down on your head. If you are attacked by someone you know you may have to withstand an attack on your character and defend your honor, so to speak. If you are attacked by an animal be very careful of walking the dark streets or putting your self in the places where you could possibly be attacked by a mugger, etc.. If you dream that you repel your attacker then you will meet with success in your current endeavor, and if you kill an attacking animal then will your life be saved by a stranger.

Attic	If you dream of entering an attic, you may be exploring the realm of the higher self or seeking knowledge there. An attic can also suggest a place where things are hidden or stored from the past. The dream might be suggesting that you take some part of you out of hiding or that you should dispose of the things you are clinging to from your past.

August	Dreaming of August may suggest unfortunate dealings in business and love. A young woman dreaming that she will be wed in this month is an omen of sorrow ~ in her early married life.

Aurora Borealis	If you dream of seeing the northern lights and experience a feeling of love and warmth you are probably having a spiritual experience and you should examine all the other symbols found in the dream, no matter how small they are. Usually this feeling of peace and love is an indication that your spiritual state is doing well, but if you are frightened or sad it may be an indication for you to come back into the light of Gods love and care.

Avalanche	The material which makes up the avalanche is snow, and snow is frozen water. Water symbolizes your emotions, the unconscious, and, at times, life itself. Therefore, this dream is about rapidly and violently descending emotions and thoughts. Emotions which may have been repressed have finally been unlocked and may be overwhelming you. You may have this dream during emotionally turbulent times of your life, or in your dreams you may be remembering and reliving some difficult emotional experiences. Old dream interpretation books say that burial in an avalanche may result in good luck in the near future. Therefore, they think that it is a dream of the contrary.

Axe	If you are chopping wood in your dream with a sharp axe you will meet a new companion but if the axe is dull, you will not be able to depend on this person. It is also a sign to go slow in any business dealings you may be involved in as you could get a nasty cut from an adverse turn of events.

Baby	A baby in a dream may represent an idea that is gestating or growing. It could also relate to the pending birth of a child or a desire for a family. Alternately, a baby could indicate dependent behavior or infantile longings. A baby walking alone indicates independence. A bright, clean baby represents requited love and many warm friends.

Bachelor	A woman dreaming of a bachelor denotes a loss of innocence and purity. A man who dreams of being a bachelor is a warning of an insincere female who will shortly be entering your life. It is also the sign of loss of honor and dignity.

Back	If you slap someone on the back in your dream it is an omen of loss of money. To see a naked back in your dream is a warning not to lend money to anyone and if it is of the opposite sex the warning is doubled. To see a person turn their back on you means you will be deeply hurt by jealousy or envy.

Back-biting	To dream of back-biting, (creating malicious gossip), about someone means you will soon fall into serious error if you do not halt whatever you may be doing that may harm someone. To have someone back-bite you means you will have problems with family and/or children.

Backgammon	Playing backgammon and losing shows you will be unlucky in the pursuit of the opposite sex, To win denotes that you will have many friends and loved ones. To see a backgammon game shows you will be, or will have, an unwelcome guest in the near future.

Bacon	To dream of handling bacon with dirty hands is an ill omen and must be taken with the dream as a whole. Bacon that has gone rancid denotes a failed affair, either love or business. Curing bacon properly is a good sign that you are doing something right.

Badger	A badger is a fierce little animal and to see this fellow in a dream will show that you have put up quite a fight and won out over your opponents. An injured Badger tells you to fight another day.

Bagpipe	A musical instrument such as a bagpipe seen in your dream is a sign of good fortune if the music is pleasing to the ear. If the player resembles a tramp and the sound is ugly and grating then will misfortune head your way.

Bail	To dream of making bail or needing to make bail is a dream where your subconscious is telling you that you need to accept help from professionals in your area of business, i.e.: bail you out. To go bail for another could denote accidents and misadventure for the dreamer.

Bailiff	To dream of being a bailiff denotes that you are working hard to better your standard of living and your position at work. If the bailiff comes to arrest you then you are in some error in your business dealing and need to improve your ethics.

Bake	When we bake, we transform matter. We take raw materials and make them into something nutritious and pleasing. Dreaming about baking is a positive dream image. It suggests that you are feeling optimistic and productive.

Bake-house	If you dream of an old fashion bake house then you are in danger of running into pitfalls which will be revealed to you. For a woman to dream this she will have her good name besmirched and false friends will drag her down.

Bakery	Dreaming of a modern day bakery with all the good smells and smiling people denotes much richness and success for you. To dream you are making the bread shows you will be making more money in your endeavors.

Balcony	A balcony might stand for the public part of the personality. Consider the condition of the balcony. If it is clean and polished, the dream indicates that you are held in high regard by others. If it is a crumbling, tarnished balcony, it may suggest that you need to repair your public image.

Bald	Some believe that dreaming about baldness is a warning about poor health. However, baldness symbolizes a lack of something, just like those who are bald lack hair. Hair represents feelings of personal power and beauty. Consider if such issues are currently relevant in your life.

Ball	If you are playing some sort of ball game as a sport you will soon be hearing some good news. If the ball you dream of is a gala event complete with music then the interpretation is somewhat different. It is a very good omen if you are having fun and enjoying the music and dancing but if it should be a masquerade ball you should watch out for an enemy posing as a good friend. Watching a ball game, or a dance from the sidelines, show that you must overcome shyness to join in the fun.

Balloon	To dream of seeing balloons in your dream indicates a dashing of hope on any and all fronts, business or love, as well as a general falling off of all kinds of businesses you may be involved in. If you are ascending in a balloon this is an omen of especially frustrating conditions in your life.

Bananas	Freud suggested that all such objects have phallic implications. However, all types of food bring up issues of nourishment. In the world of classic or superstition-based dream interpretations, eating bananas suggests a period of hard work but little reward. Spoiled fruit usually suggests "spoiled" situations or friendships.

Banjo	If you dream that you are playing the banjo you will have an enjoyable time with friends. if you see someone else playing the banjo then you will meet an exciting new love. If you are listening to banjo music from afar you will soon have some visitors from out of town. To hear banjo music on a radio show, you will have success in love.

Bank	Generally, a bank is a symbol of security and power--a foundation--but the meaning depends on what you are doing in the bank. If you are receiving or depositing money, it is usually an auspicious sign, an indication that you are financially secure. If you are waiting in line, it literally may mean waiting for a check or money to arrive. Likewise, if you are holding upa bank, it may symbolize that money you are expecting is being "held up" or delayed.

Bar	Dreaming about being in bars and drinking may symbolize a need that you have for some type of a meaningful transformation. On the other hand, this dream may be a form of wish fulfillment, and you are escaping into a pleasurable environment where daily cares and concerns are meaningless. If you rarely allow yourself to relax and socialize, this dream may be compensatory in nature.

Baseball	If you attend a baseball game in your dream you will find contentment and peace or mind. If you dream you are playing the game of baseball you will find contentment, but no real gains, in life unless you quit playing, and buckle down to achieving your goals.

Basement	Dreaming of being in a basement could indicate that you are connecting with the subconscious mind. Possibly you are unearthing something hidden in your past that you need to examine. (see Underground.)

Bath	Taking a bath in a dream may represent your need to undergo some form of cleansing. If you are currently changing things in your daily life, or if you have freed yourself from bothersome emotions, this dream may be an affirmation of that. Taking a bath represents a cleansing of the outer self, the washing away of those things that are difficult or disturbing and relaxing for a while. The deeper meaning may be that the bath represents the letting go of old and useless ideas, opinions or prejudices. Often this dream is a call to relax, to free your mind of daily troubles, and to put your problems away for a while.

Bathing	Bathing or wading in clear water is a very good omen as it shows luck in all you are undertaking. Muddy water is a sign of bad luck, illness, or losses in love and money. To dream of playing in the water foretells a wonderful love affair. If the water is murky the affair will be violent.

Bathroom	Dreaming of being in a bathroom could simply mean that your bladder is full. It could also symbolize a place of privacy. If the bathroom is crowded, the dream could mean that you lack privacy. If you find yourself in a bathroom for the opposite sex, it may suggest that you are crossing boundaries. A bathroom dream may also relate to the elimination of something in your life.

Bats	The dreamer is particularly unfortunate if he/she dream about these awful little ugly creatures as death almost always follows the dream of the bat, often it is the death of a child, or a youth. Seeing bats in your dream shows that many sorrows and grief is yours due to the evil that people direct against you. Death of a family member is denoted by a dream of a white bat., while a black bat brings personal disaster.

Beach	To see yourself working on a beach shows that you will soon be involved with a job, or project, that will be demanding of you in both time and effort. If you are just relaxing on a beach this shows that you value the calm feelings that family get togethers lend to you, and if you see yourself sitting on a beach and letting the sand run through your fingers that shows that you are running out of time on something important due to idling your time away.

Bear	If a bear is pursuing you in your dream this is a sign that you will experience some financial losses in business. A bear also represents a rival you may have for your loved one, if the bear is seen to be climbing, then the outcome will be in your favor.

Beard	Beards are usually associated with masculinity, wisdom, strength, and the men who have them typically command respect. Moses, Jesus, Charles Darwin and Abraham Lincoln all had beards. Old dream interpretation books say that dreaming of bearded men is a good omen, and good luck will follow. On the other hand, dreaming about woman with beards is said to be bad luck. It´s no wonder, a woman who is strong, wise and commands respects is a very threatening creature (to some). If you are a woman dreaming that you have a beard, you may be dealing with your own issues of power. You may be using more masculine energy than you would like to or that is necessary.

Beaver	To see a beaver industriously building a dam shows that much hard work is to be expected before you eventually realize your goals. If the beaver is in distress, or has trouble with his building, this is indicative of a need to change your career as the goal you have set may be unrealistic.

Bed	If you dream that you are sleeping on a bed in the outdoors this foretells much success in your endeavors. If you dream of going to bed with a stranger of the opposite sex, this is indicative of making friends too fast, and speaks for caution in affairs. A bed that is not your own shows that you can expect a small increase in good luck in your business affairs, and your own bed offers you security that you may be lacking in your life. If you are making up the bed you will have callers.

Beehive	Seeing a busy beehive is indicative of many opportunities for you to get ahead and increase your earning power. If the hive is empty this forecasts sorrow over love affairs and a loss in income. If you, or someone else in your dream, should be seen destroying the hive then you will have many losses and suffer poverty for a time.

Bees	Seeing bees in your dream is much the same as the beehive with a small variation: Bees are a lucky dream and augers much good to the dreamer in all his endeavors, unless, the bees sting the dreamer in which case bad luck may dog your steps for a while.

Begin	To begin something in your dream is your subconscious telling you that you need to get on with what you have only been planning. It is a warning of wasting valuable time through procrastination.

Betrayal	All dreams of betrayal should be studied closely in connection with the entire dream to find out just who or what to expect betrayal from. Betrayal as an omen is not much to go on and the dreamer must take this as a literal warning of an insincere friend or lover and study the dream with this in mind. Sometimes things can betray you by not giving you value and satisfaction for cost.

Bicycle	All vehicles symbolize our passage through the journey of life. Since the bicycle is usually acquired earlier in life than a car, it could be pointing out some of your adolescent tendencies. If you are a teenager, then it may be a routine way of getting around. Riding a bicycle in your dream may symbolize a need for balance and hard work in order for you to succeed in a current endeavor. Some think that the bicycle could also represent your need for some type of assistance. Consider all of the details in your dream, including whether you are traveling up or down the road.

Birds	The appearance of a bird in a dream could relate to a wish for freedom, to fly away, or to flee from something. Birds can also be spiritual symbols. Among certain Native American tribes, an eagle symbolizes spiritual knowledge. It is symbolic of wholeness, completeness, and unity of the self. The clock is a mandala that revolves and it may represent immortality. On the lighter side, when you are dreaming about a clock, time is an obvious issue. You may be currently experiencing anxiety in regard to a time-sensitive situation. For example, people worry about their "biological clock" running out, or they are concerned about not being "on top of things." Computer	The computer dream is one of personal understanding and as such should be viewed in conjunction with all the other signs in your dream. The computer can also represent discipline and coordination to the dreamer, if the dreamers job involves the use of a computer then dreaming of it would be telling you that you are too wound up in your work and need to back off on the heavy work schedule.

Contract	To dream of signing a contract is an omen that you will soon be experiencing a rise in your profession, but, if you refuse to sign the contract, your promotion could be more than you had hoped for. Corpse	To dream of yourself as a corpse or to experience your death is not necessarily a prediction of your demise. It could signify a major change in your life, such as the ending of a long-held job or a divorce. Coyote	A coyote, not being a very brave animal, will attack those living beings that are injured, dead, or just weaker than themselves, and they also run in packs like dogs, (kind of like street gangs). If you dream of being attacked by a pack of coyote, or see them wearing a threatening demeanor, you should be extremely careful for the next few days as this is a warning of danger to yourself. Crab	At a first glance a crab seems to be a very negative dream symbol. It could represent a "crabby" or unpleasant personality. The claws could be symbolic of a clinging and hurtful person, or a side of your own personality. There may be too much dependence, clinging and forcefulness in your life. Crickets	To have a cricket invade your home foretells that you will soon be experiencing poverty, if you kill the cricket, your poverty will be short lived. To hear a cricket foretells some very sad news concerning the death of a distant friend.

Crocodile	Just to see a crocodile in your dream doing nothing much but lazing around is a warning that someone is trying to adversely influence you about a matter closely related to your happiness or your income. If the Crocodile chases you it means success magnified in your affairs. If he catches and bites you then you are slated for disappointments in love and business but if you see the crocodile dead then your success´ will be many, and beyond your wildest hopes.

Crown	The obvious definition is wealth, position, power, and authority. But is the crown something desired or feared in the dream? Is it within reach or escaping your grasp?

Crucifix	A cross can have several seemingly varying connotations, or the interpretation may be multifaceted. Dreaming about sexual organs usually has something to do with sex --BUT not necessarily, so consider all the details.

Ghost	An apparition or ghost appearing in a dream may suggest that something in your life is elusive or out of reach. If a person who has died appears in a dream, consider your past relationship to that person and what that individual symbolized in your life. A ghost of a living relative or friend in a dream may symbolize that you are in danger from someone you know, or if that ghost appears haggard it may symbolize an early death or a breaking off of a friendship.

Gift	Giving and receive gifts is usually a pleasant occasion and both parties benefit from the exchange. Dreaming about gift giving may be a reflection on positive exchanges that are occurring in your daily life. Some say that to give and to receive is the same things. Keep this in mind and also remember that the most valuable gifts may be emotional and spiritual in nature and that your dream may be attempting to make you aware of such gifts. Goat	When interpreting dreams with goats in them, consider the characteristics that we associate with these animals. We consider them to be sturdy and tenacious. Historically, lambs are sacrificial and when we place blame on an individual we may call him a "scapegoat." Additionally, in pagan mythology goats are considered to be symbols of sexual vitality. God	Regardless of whether we believe in a God or not, all of us have been exposed to the idea of a supreme and omnipresent being. The dilemma over the existence of God is probably the most common dilemma of them all. Everyone from time to time will have a dream about "God." Its symbolism depends on the dreamer. God in our dreams can be considered a positive or self affirming symbol. It represents truth, purity, and love. It also represents the creative energy which is abundant in all of us (whether we know it or not). For a certain number of people, in the dream state, God may have negative connotations. For them God could represent eternal punishment, damnation, and invoke massive amount guilt. Most religions consider dreams to be a pathway to God or to the spiritual realm. Our unconscious mind may be more capable of connecting to the eternal flow of spirit and it may be the dwelling place of the soul.

Godzilla	Seeing the cartoonish character of godzilla in a dream is pure fantasy and has no significance as for as the dreamers life and fortunes. It is mainly for entertainment, but, if you are frightened, or happy, you could use these emotions to guide you with the rest of the dream.

Gold	Dreaming of gold jewelry or coins or a gold object indicates that success is forthcoming.

Goose	A goose is often associated with a golden egg so that dreaming of one is a symbol of abundance. On the other hand, a goose in the oven or on fire suggests "your goose is cooked." Alternately, a "big goose egg" can mean zero or nothing.

Grandparents	As a general rule grandparents are a symbol of, love, security, love, protection, love, home, and love. If you dram of searching for your grandparents you are really searching for love and protection. There are no other interpretations for these. If you dream of being a grandparent you will have a happy domestic life with minimal problems.

Grass	Green grass always augers success in any enterprise you may select, and dead or burned grass means failure. Planting grass, and helping it grow, shows you will have great financial gains brought about by your own effort and hard work.

Hail	To dream of being in a hailstorm, or to hear hail knocking against the house represents being besieged by a troubling matter, thoughts, or emotions. However, if you dream of watching hail fall through sunshine and rain, it may suggest that fortune and pleasure will shine on you after a brief period of trouble or misery.

Hair	Hair can appear in many different ways and is open to many interpretations. To dream that you have a beautiful head of hair and are combing it indicates thoughts of appearance over substance. Honey	Sweet experiences and good health are in your subconscious and most likely in your life.

Horse	A horse symbolizes strength, power, endurance, majesty, and virility. Imitation	If you dream of imitations then you should watch out for those who would palm something off on you which will cause a lot of trouble and loss. If you dream that someone is imitating your lover then you must guard against being deceived by that person.

Implements	To dream of implements denote that you will be threatened by death if they are broken or, if broken, denotes that you will complete your work but by underhanded means.

Interview	Being interviewed in a dream is similar to taking an examination. It suggests you´re being judged. If you´re surprised by the interview, it may indicate that you are feeling unprepared.

Intruder	Seeing an intruder breaking into your house or hurting you or someone else can be a very frightening dream. Depending on the level of fear this dream is, at times, a nightmare. Jam	If you dream of eating jam you will suffer embarrassment at the hands of a woman through no fault of your own. If you see a child eating it you will receive a pleasant surprise. Janitor	If you look for and find a lazy janitor in your dreams you will suffer from many problems in your business that gives you setbacks. If you see a janitor doing a good job you will find many pleasant things happen to you in the course of the coming weeks.

January	To dream of this month may mean that you will be associated with unloved companions or children.

In Greek mythology Hermes was the messenger of the gods and the god of speed. This intelligent and quick witted immortal, easily traveled between heaven, earth and the underworld. Satan	Seeing or interacting with the devil in your dreams may have several different meanings and the interpretation depends on the details of the dream. However, it almost always points to something negative and disturbing in your personality, daily life, or environment. Carl Jung called such dark figures "the shadow" and said that they represent the negative ego personality and qualities which are painful and regrettable. Valuables	Uncovering valuables may symbolize the discovery of self-worth or inner resources.

Vampire	To dream of a vampire may indicate that someone is draining energy from you or taking advantage of you. The message is to guard against people who take too much of your time or energy. To dream of battling or staking a vampire suggests a positive outcome versus someone with harmful intentions.

Vapor bath	To dream of a Sauna, or vapor bath, you will be surrounded by bickering, fretful people in your business world. If you see someone else leaving the bath then your cares will be few and short lived.

Varnishing	When you dream you see someone varnishing furniture this denotes a loss to you from friends who work for their own gain. If you are doing the varnishing then it shows you will win the battle but lose the war because you used less than honest tactics in your endeavor.

Vase	Dreaming of drinking from a vase and then seeing it break is a bad omen as it shows that you will enjoy a hidden love affair which brings only sorrow and retribution. If you dream of receiving a vase as a gift then you will be able to obtain your hearts delight.

Vat	A vat seen in a dream is an ill omen but must also be taken in context of the entire dream and correlated. This can foretell sorrow, grief, cruel friends, an unfaithful lover, etc.

Vatican	A dream of the Vatican is usually a good omen signifying help and unexpected gain due solely to the actions of others. If royalty is present in the Vatican you will receive your help from very distinguished people. One negative approach on this dream is, if the Vatican is deserted and fallen into ruin the dreamer would suffer a loss of friends and supporters.

Vault	A vault usually holds valuables. Your ability to open it determines the nature of the dream. If you hold the key, the vault may be a symbol of wealth and prosperity. If you are unable to open it, then the dream may signify that you are being frustrated in your effort to achieve wealth or a specific goal.

Vegetables	If you see a table loaded down with fresh and cooked vegetables and this makes you hungry it denotes you are lacking in some nutrient or vitamin that your body needs to maintain itself, the one vegetable that is featured in your dream will give you a clue as to which one it is. Vehicle	If you dream you are riding in a vehicle and someone else is driving you will soon take a business trip at your bosses convenience, but if you are riding in a vehicle where you or a member of your family are driving, then your trip will be for pleasure or personal business.

Veil	A dream in which someone or something is veiled suggests that you´re hiding something or something is being hidden from you.

Venus	(Aphrodite) Venus, the planet may be seen rising in the east along with the sun and is known as the Morning Star. It also sets in the west and is the Evening Star. Due to the way this plant travels across the sky, it is often a symbol of death and rebirth. It is associated with the sun and considered to be the sun´s messenger and an intermediary between the sun and mankind (between mortal and the impartial). In Greek mythology, Aphrodite is the goddess of beauty and love. The love that she represents is not of the emotional and fruitful kind, but rather lust, sensual pleasure and raw animal attraction. Aphrodite was able to stir sexual feelings in both animals and mankind and often represents the perverse side of human sexuality. She is the goddess of the house of prostitution. Aphrodite may represent our basic sexual nature before it is tamed and humanized by emotions and spirit. In order to understand the symbolism of Venus in a dream, some reflection is required. Are you full of lust and/or has your sexuality been ignored? Aphrodite may be stirring your basic sexual nature. If you are feeling drained by life, the planet Venus may be a representation of the ability to regenerate and begin anew. Seeing Venus in a dream may be a reminder that there is an abundance of internal energy and resources accessible to all that tap into it.

Victim	A dream of yourself as a victim may indicate that you´re feeling helpless regarding a situation. If someone rescues you, the dream suggests that help is available.

Violence	Research shows that most dreams are unpleasant. Violent dreams are relatively common and may be a reflection of the confusion and conflict that the dreamer experiences in daily life. Dreams with violent themes suggest that the dreamer has unconscious negative emotions such as fear, anxiety, and anger. If you are not dealing with these feeling consciously, your dreams are compensating and bringing into awareness the need for honest reflection and emotional balance in daily life.

Violin	A violin played in a dream portends a romantic interlude, a time of love and harmony. It can also mean that you or someone else is "high strung."

Visitor	Encountering a visitor in a dream indicates that a new condition is entering your life. If you welcome the visitor, the change may be for the better. If you turn away the visitor, you´re unwilling to change or you don´t accept what is being offered.

Volcano	The eruption of a volcano or a smoking volcano may suggest that your strong emotions are rising to the surface and need to be expressed before you literally explode.

Vomit	To vomit in a dream may be a dramatic exhibition of a need to rid something or someone from your life. To dream of vomitting a chicken suggests an illness in a relative will be a cause of disappointment. To see others vomitting symbolizes that someone´s false pretenses will soon be made apparent.

Wadding	(cloth type stuffing) To dream of using wadding in the loading of an old fashioned rifle means you are arming yourself against the hostile actions and words of others. When used in the filling of artistic work then it shows your creativity will be well rewarded.

Wading	Wading or bathing in clear water is a very good omen as it shows luck in all you are undertaking. Muddy water is a sign of bad luck, illness, or losses in love and money. To dream of playing in the water foretells a wonderful love affair. If the water is murky the affair will be violent.

Wafers	If a young lady dreams of eating wafers she shows that she is too picky in her search for male companionship. If she is cooking them it denotes a long happy marriage to the man of her choice. To pack them in a shipping carton denotes her love of sharing and portends many happy days for her. For a man to dream of wafers is an omen of general good fortune.

Wager	If you should dream of winning a wager fortune smiles on you but if you dream that you lose one or you are unable to put the wager up then you will find yourself railing against misfortunes and losses. Making a wager denotes a dishonest turn of mind.

Wages	If you dream of paying out wages you could be in for much dissatisfaction. When you dream of receiving wages then this is an omen of good fortune for your business. Should you lose wages or receive less then you are entitled to could mean that people who do not have your best interests at heart has taken notice of your success to your undoing.

Wagon	If you dream of driving a wagon loaded with hay shows a thrifty nature and an unwillingness to speculate on unsure ventures. Driving a wagon down hill will denote a situation that will arise shortly in a manner that is disgusting to you. If you drive a loaded wagon up hill you will see a successful completion of your present work and an improvement in all your affairs. To see a wagon standing empty and alone shows loss and dissatisfaction for you.

Waif	If you dream of taking a waif in and caring for it you will see a great increase in your business affairs. But just to see a waif and do nothing humanitarian to help it will denote a sudden loss in business or love. To see many waifs huddled together show that your sorrows will increase tenfold.

Wail	Hearing a wailing sound while dreaming foretells fearful news and sorrow. A wail of a police siren denotes minor trouble with the law which involves you or someone close to you. The wails of fire engines and ambulances denote a disaster of major proportions.

Waist	The size of the waist in a dream determines the omen it portends to as recognized in the current mode of fashion. A large rotund waist gives the dreamer the information that life will be pleasing and comfortable with no lack or want. A small petite waist is telling the dreamer that he or she will experience success in business, but if the waist belongs to an unhealthy, emaciated individual then the reverse is true.

Waiter	To dream you are being served by a waiter then you will enjoy many pleasant entertainments involving friends or loved ones. If your waiter is angry or slovenly, you will experience disquiet at the intrusion of disreputable people into your life.

Wake	If you dream that you attend a wake and the deceased is a friend or loved one then you will hear sad news in the near future. If you see a friend attending a wake, then the friend is in grave danger and must be warned to be careful.

Walk	Many people see themselves walking along in a dream. It is very important to remember where you were walking to and if the walk was difficult or not. The way we move in dreams, or the means of transportation, may represent how efficiently we maneuver and progress on our own personal life journey. Also, is the means of transportation appropriate for the journey? For example, are you walking to your neighbor´s house or across the desert? Jung thought that if in your dream you are walking to no specific destination, it may represent a personal search and a succession of changes that one experience in life. In order to understand the dream, consider if you were walking around aimlessly or were swiftly going to a particular destination?

Walking	If you dream you are taking a walk through pleasant surroundings then you will enjoy success in love and business. If the path is strewn with briars and other brush, you will experience hardships but if you manage to get through them then you will overcome all your adversaries and make your fortune. To walk in the night hours brings with it much discontent.

Wallet	A wallet carries personal effects, such as your identification. It is also where you carry financial resources. If you dream of losing your wallet, it may relate to a concern about your sense of self or about your finances. What happens in the dream and how you react can help you determine its meaning.

Walls	Walls as dream images are generally considered obstacles and sources of isolation or confinement. Some people are emotionally guarded and feel unable to express themselves freely. If you are such a person, this dream symbol might be pointing to the walls that you have built around yourself. Additionally, if you are experiencing challenges and seemingly impenetrable difficulties in daily life, the wall in your dream may be a reflection of those factors. Consider your current situation and attempt to identify the source of the walls in your dream. Climbing the wall suggests that you are becoming prepared or are able to overcome difficulties and/or challenges.

War	A dream of war could relate to reliving your past in the military. Whether you´ve served in the military or not, a dream of war might symbolize internal turmoil or a need to make peace with yourself, or others. By examining other elements in the dream, you may determine the message behind the aggressive behavior.

Washing	If you are washing something in a dream, you may be attempting to cleanse or purify the self. If a stain won´t come out, the dream may relate to a concern about something from your past connected with feelings of guilt.

Water	A dream of water can relate to the emotions or the unconscious. In the Freudian perspective, water relates to sexual matters, usually the female genitalia. (see Lake, Ocean, River, and Waves.)

Waterfall	Water signifies the unconscious or the emotions, so to dream of waterfalls may represent a sudden or dramatic change in the dreamer´s emotional state.

Waves	Waves symbolize the power of the unconscious or emotions. Enormous breaking waves may represent powerful emotions, and gentle waves may suggest a tranquil state of mind.
